the half remembered dream

the half remembered dream

is like the blur that we see,

when our eyes are filled.

whilst real, they have a poetic tendency

of dimming the lines between actuality & illusion.

it is the way we are reminded

of the monsters haunting our subconscious,

or of the sweet anticipations our heart carries. 

although oftentimes forgotten, a half remembered dream

is the only way we all come face to face 

with our inner & repressed selves.
